Albam



Manny Albam was a jazz Bari Saxophone player who became a first rate composer, arranger, producer and educator. During his long and prolific career he worked with the best in the business, including Leonard Bernstein, Count Basie, Stan Getz, Bob Brookmeyer, Dizzy Gillespie and many others.

As an educator he was associated for many years with Ray Wright and many of the other jazz greats who came through the Eastman Summer Jazz Writers festival. He also taught at the Manhattan School of Music. He has a long list of former students throughout the music industry and music education.
