Boismortier

Joseph Bodin de Boismortier (1689-1755) was a French baroque composer, one of the first of all composers who did not have a royal patron. Because of his prodigious musical and business skills, he made enormous sums of money by publishing his music for sale to the public.

He wrote in the Italian Concerto form and most of his instrumental music was composed for the flute.
