Janacek

Leos Jancek was a Czech composer, folklorist and teacher. Much of his music was inspired by Slavic and Moravian folk music as well as his compatriot, Antonin Dvorak. His early years were spent researching folklore and it is not till his later years that his great works such as the opera Jenufa, the Glagolitic Mass, Taras Bulba and Sinfonietta were to imprint him as one of the most important Czech composers.
