Lennex

Matt Lennex is an active freelance trombonist and music educator in Phoenix. Originally from Wheeling, WV, Matt earned degrees from West Virginia University and the University of North Texas before moving to Phoenix, where he earned a D.M.A. from Arizona State University. Adept at playing alto, tenor and bass trombones in a variety of styles, Matt has worked with the Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Arizona Opera, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, as well as national touring Broadway shows and artists including Michael Feinstein, Toni Tennille, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé. He is a member of the Salt River Brass and the Bruce Gates Jazz Consortium, and is the trombone instructor at Chandler-Gilbert and Glendale Community Colleges.
