Ogren

Dan Ogren graduated from California State University Northridge in 1976, and moved to Oregon where he taught middle school bands for forty years. He taught in several Oregon communities ending his full-time career in Lake Oswego. He was a founding member and director of the Northwest Band Camp, a highly successful middle school summer camp on the Oregon coast. He conducted a middle band for the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, and was an adjunct at Portland State University.

He plays trumpet in Brass Unlimited, and Euphonium in the Lake Oswego Millennium Band.

He is a member of the Northwest Band Masters, an organization for retired educators.

Dan is frequently asked to judge festivals and conduct honor bands in Oregon and Washington. In his spare time he fishes for salmon, works in his small forestland, and composes music.
