Sachse

Ernest Sachse was born in Altenburg Germany in (ca.) 1813 and died in (ca.) 1870. He became a trumpeter and performed at the Hofkapelle in Weimar under Hummel and Liszt, making his first appearance as a soloist at Weimar city hall in 1836. According to records he also performed in the premier of Wagner's Lohengrin in August 1855. He was featured frequently as the soloist of his own compositions and his solos are still performed today.

His most well-known work is his Concertino for Trombone.
