Timmers

Robert Timmers studied trombone at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Steve Witser and Rick Stout. During that time he performed with the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, CityMusic Cleveland, and the Blossom Festival Band.

A frequent arranger, Robert has arranged extensively for brass chamber ensembles with his largest publication being the Complete Bach Chorales for trombone quartet. While no longer active as a performer on the trombone, Robert performs periodically on bass with groups ranging from rock and roll to hip hop to jazz as well as performing as a vinyl exclusive DJ.

Almost equal to his musical passion is his passion for equitable access to high quality local food and has over the past decade worked extensively in the restaurant and agriculture industry to connect his community to quality food producers.
