Yarbrough

A native of North Carolina, John Yarbrough holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Michigan. He has played tuba with the Durham and Raleigh Symphony Orchestras and taught at both Duke University and Campbell University. John has also been active in Triangle area music scene as a conductor and pianist. He first learned about the Wanhal double bass concerto from the renowned Wanhal scholar, Dr. Paul Bryan, who also happened to be his tuba teacher at Duke.
